Susanville in route to Eagle Lake

We left Yosemite Pines nearly 2 years to the day, we said our sad farewells and packed up and headed towards Susanville California.
We felt that we really needed to broaden our work camper experiences.
( Have a few more jobs under our belt so to speak. )
It seems like Déjà vu  this is the same route that we took to go to Yosemite Pines, which brought us back up into Reno before heading North on Hwy 395. It is kind of ironic how our paths keep touching back in similar areas.

We would stay in Susanville until the snow melted a bit more and the water was checked at the Eagle Lake Campgrounds.
While in Susanville we stayed at the Susanville RV Resort, which is a very nice campground in downtown Susanville. Our site was in the back which backed up to a large open field. We would see a large heard of deer and flocks of geeze. The sun sets were not too bad either.  It reminded me how much I enjoyed the wide open skies in the desert.
After a couple of days settling in we took a drive up to what would be our new campgrounds where we would be the campground Hosts to 2 campgrounds. The Eagle and the West Eagle.

It was not really a long drive from town up and over to the lake, its just the winding road which slows you down. You just gotta love those mountain roads.
Up on the summit you could look down and see for miles, far in the distance is Nevada, the place where we started out on this Adventure.

We arrived at the Eagle campground and just walked around to see what our new home looked like. I have to say I feel in love with it right from the start.
As you can see Robert is standing in what would be our site. Again an amazing site to have.

Susanville is a very nice small friendly town. We found everything which we needed here during our season.

While your in the area I would recommend stopping by Roop's Fort.
Historical Museum located one block north of Susanville's main street at 70 N. Weatherlow.

Susanville RV Park has a very tiny little store, an amazing laundry room, nice clean showers, dog run, basic cable, and wifi.

If in the area we would stay there again.
